Matein Provides N95,N90 and Medical Masks

Coronavirus is transmitted from person to person, usually when someone comes into contact with the secretions of an infected person. The infectivity of the virus directly affects the route of transmission. The current transmission of the new coronavirus is unclear, but according to experience, contact with infected body fluids caused by coughing or sneezing, or shaking hands with infected persons may lead to infection. The virus can also be transmitted if your hands touch something the infected person has touched and then touch your mouth, nose, or eyes.

Normally, a person's lungs have nearly 1 liter of liquid, and each time they sneeze, the lungs will spray these liquids out like a squeezed mineral water bottle. Once in vitro, they are divided into more than 40,000 small drops, each containing a large number of viruses and bacteria. Due to the huge thrust in the body, these liquids can reach speeds of up to 35 meters per second and their propagation distance can reach 3 to 8 meters.

As the number of coronavirus cases grows across the globe, The best way to protect yourself is to cover your mouth and nose with a mask that blocks respiratory droplets from other people coughs and sneezes and wash hands frequently.

Matein cares about all mates’ health and we provide N95, N90, and surgical masks. I hope we can contribute to world health protection. Masks come in several specifications. Let us talk about their differences in this blog.

Matein N95 masks

An N95 respirator is a respiratory protective device. It is designed to fit the face more closely than ordinary masks and works as a very efficient filtration of airborne particles. “N” means “Not resistant to oil”, which can be used to protect non-oily suspended particles; “95” means that the filtration efficiency is greater than or equal to 95%, indicating that after careful testing, this respirator can block at least 95% of very small (0.3 Micron level) test particles.

Matein N90 Masks

Masks that come with an N90 rating can filter up to 90% of the particulate matter 2.5 from the air. The 'N90' designation means that the respirator blocks at least 90 percent of very small (0.3 microns) test particles.

Matein Surgical Masks

Medical-surgical masks can be used as a barrier between the mouth and nose of wearers. It is mainly used in medical clinics, laboratories, operating rooms, and other high-demand medical environments. Medical-surgical masks have a strong resistance to bacteria and viruses. In daily life, they can be used to prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as influenza and respiratory system, and to prevent patients from transmitting the virus to others. Medical-surgical masks can block particles larger than 4 microns in diameter. Tests conducted in a mask-enclosed laboratory in a hospital environment show that, according to general medical standards, for 0.3-micron particles, the permeability of medical surgical masks is 18.3%.

These are often referred to as face masks, although not all face masks are regulated as surgical masks. For the surgical mask, it is the yy0469-2011 surgical mask. The similarities among surgical masks and surgical N95s are: we can safely get the conclusion that the similarity between surgical masks and N95 is that they are tested for fluid resistance, filtration efficiency, flammability, and biocompatibility.

What are the differences between KN95 and N95?

KN95 is one of the levels specified in the Chinese standard GB2626-2006 while N95 is one of the levels specified in 42 CFR 84. The technical requirements and test methods of these two levels are the same.

From the design, if you rank according to the wearer's protection ability priority (high to low): N95 masks> surgical masks> ordinary medical masks> ordinary cotton masks. They should not be shared or reused.
